So this is one, of two very special looking pieces of the collection. To me it looks just like a framed painting. The reason for this is, I used quite a niche analog technique. The original photo was taken with a 4x5 large format camera on the nowadays pretty rare Fuji FP100C peel apart polaroid. You might remember, having seen how one part is peeled apart & thrown away, as the other part, the original polaroid,was kept. Well, this image was done from the part people throw away! Because what most people don´t know, is that the throw-away part actually contains a real negative, that can be scanned & then contains these beautiful framelines from the chemicals. But to do so, you have to put the peel-apart-piece on a glass plate, water it, and then wash off the backing coat with bleach. If everything works out, you get a huge negative in the size of a polaroid, which then can be scanned,just as this here. If it doesn´t work out, the bleach crawles under your negative & destroyes it ;)
