In some of the older areas the lines between storefront and home are blurry. The glass doors feel like a store front but that might only be one small front room of retail space with the back and upstairs being residential. Regardless of the use, this front would have been a point of pride for someone. Swept daily and cared for, as much for themselves as for their neighbors. The earthquake certainly shook them, but the fallout from the nearby nuclear plant is what forced them leave.
